I can't explain the feeling I got when I saw Cade smile for the first time. We were all in the bed one morning and there it came. I also remember exactly where I was when Beau smiled too. And of course, there were a few little tears that came too. I think God gives parents that little smile as the first milestone to remind us that their sleepless nights, hard work, endless nursing sessions, spit-up shirts, crying for no reason is all worth it!
